About Me
Years ago, when I was a student, and my adult life mysteriously stretched out before me, I had no idea what I wanted to do with it. So I did, what many do: I sought the direction and comfort of stories on the page—lives contained within pages made sense to me and helped me make sense of mine.
My love of stories lead me to studies in literature and journalism and eventually to careers in writing and education.
Today, I teach high school English, journalism, and yearbook in Oceanside California. I also write sometimes—when I can afford myself the luxury. I do both of these things because I believe in the power of language to connect us to our humanity, make us wiser and more interesting, and make the world a better place. I believe our ideas and stories are worth sharing. This is me sharing some of mine.
